AFTERGLOW
I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave
when life is done/

IN MEMORIAM
[Little Reba Moore, son of Oscar and
Emma Moore, died September 12, 1885.]
We miss our little darling
More than tongue can tell,
But we know that he is happy
And that God doeth all things well.

No more we'll press his little form
Nor join his childish glee;
For his spirit is in heaven,
From earthly joys and sorrows free.

We gave him up in sadness,
But our hearts are filled with joy
When we think that holy angels
Are companions to our boy.
ELENE.
